Saturday, February 13, 2010 10:14Four Winns manufactures a great looking line of state of the art sports cruisers that includes the V278. This 28 foot boat is fully loaded for fun on the water and is a perfect fit with the Florida boating lifestyle.
One of the best options the V278 gives boaters is the big and roomy cabin/stateroom. The cabin is six feet tall so most people won’t have to bend their necks in it. A hanging locker, overhead storage and sidewall cabin make the cabin a home away from home. A privacy curtain enables people to dress or undress without disturbing others.
The cabin’s entertainment system features I-Pod ready MP3 outlets so the kids can bring their music. Some of the options in electronics include a Sirius satellite stereo system and a stereo with a remote control. The display for the stereo controls is at the helm so dad can control the sound level while he’s driving the boat.
The head features a porcelain toilet with a holding tank and a shower just like the bathroom at home. This brings the comfort of the house to the water and makes recreational all the more enjoyable. The head also features a towel rack and a medicine cabinet.
The big galley has lots of counter space that includes a sink with a cover board. This means there’s lots of room for cooking on the boat. A microwave, a refrigerator and an electric stove are all standard features.
Even the cockpit in the V278 is luxurious it features a Florentine interior with teak looking carpet. The Mediterranean SunSport seating is a set of opposing bench seats that convert to a large sundeck. Pillows and cushions are also available to enhance the comfort of the V278’s cockpit.
A variety of engine options are available for the V278 including some classic American horsepower from Mercury. Mercury engines for the V278 include the Mercruiser 350 MPI Bravo III 300 horsepower, the MerCruiser 350 MPI/Bravo III SeaCore with 300 horsepower, and the MerCruiser 377 MPI/Bravo III DTS 320 horsepower.
Four Winns is also giving V278 buyers the choice of Swedish made Volvo engine technology. The Volvo engines optional for the V278 include the Penta 5.7 Gi/DP with 300 horsepower, the Penta 5.7 GXi/DP offering 320 horsepower, the powerful Penta 8.1 Gi/DP which has 375 horsepower and the Penta D4-300/DPH which offers boaters 300 horsepower.
