The 260 Sundancer is the largest boat in Sea Ray’s very impressive family of sport yachts and cruisers that can be hauled with a trailer.

Like all Sea Ray boats this cruiser has a strong fiberglass hull that makes it safe and seaworthy. This rugged boat can take the rough seas and the weather as well the salt. Many boaters will appreciate the fact this boat is wood free which means it won’t be harmed by rot or saltwater. That should make it last for years and improve its value as an investment. This also means that there will no rot or mildew in the boat.

Even though it’s strong and built for cruising the 260 Sundancer is also built for comfort. The cabin has all the comforts of home including a shower that contains up to 25 gallons of freshwater. The galley contains a butane stove, a microwave and a fridge that can run on 12 volts or 110 Kilowatt power systems. This means that the refrigerator can be used when the boat is at sea or when it’s sitting in the Marina.

There’s also an entertainment system with a DVD player that runs on its own battery. The cabin is also air conditioned for comfort in those hot Florida summers.

The electronic features are great too, they include an optional Navman Tracker 5500 which combines a Global Positioning System and a Chart Plotter and a Raymarine VHF radio.

The powerful Mercruiser 6.2 MPI engine enables the 260 Sundancer to go from standing still to 30 miles per hour in just 13 seconds. Making this one fast sport cruiser and a great water ski boat.

Even though it’s fast the 260 Sundancer is still primarily a cruiser that’s designed for comfort. Like all of the Sundancers the 260 is designed for several days of cruising on the ocean. Its perfect for exploring Florida’s waterways and coastlines or just having some fun with the family.

Interestingly enough the 260 Sundancer is not among the Sport Cruisers currently listed on Searay’s website. Several similar models are listed including the 240, 230, 280  and 250 Sundaners are featured there. This could mean that the 260 Sundancer is no longer in production. Fortunately,  Sea Ray is still manufacturing a large line of great looking fast boats.
