Wellcraft’s 30 Scarab Tournament is a boat designed and built by saltwater fishermen for saltwater fishermen.
This is the boat that saltwater fishermen want if they plan to be out fishing for several days. The thirty foot long craft has a full cabin with V berth sleeping accommodations. There are also port and starboard lounges that can be used for sleeping or getting out of the rain and cold. Twelve volt lighting makes it easy to read or cut up fish after the sun goes down.
One of the best features on the 30 Scarab is a fully equipped bathroom under the helm. This bathroom contains a working full sized shower, a sink and a head. It’s perfect for cleaning up after days of fishing and cutting bait. A six gallon water heater means that you have plenty of hot water for that shower.
If that wasn’t enough the portside galley contains a stove and a sink for cooking, cutting bait or preparing the fish. An optional refrigerator can be easily installed for the food for the fishing trip.
You’ll need the galley and head because you can stay out a longtime with the 30 Scarab Tournament. A 288 gallon fuel tank comes standard with this boat so it’s got a really long range for its size. This is the boat for a Florida fisherman who wants to see the Caribbean.
Wellcraft is to be commended on the wide variety of engine options offered with the 30 Scarab Tournament. Those who order new Scarabs have a choice of nine different engines from three different manufacturers.
Three Yamaha Engines: the TW F 225 4 Stroke, the TW F 250 4-STROKE, and the TW Z 300 HPDI are optional with the 30 Scarab. Buyers can also chose from four Mercury engines: W 225 VERADO 4-STROKE, the TW 250 VERADO 4-STROKE, the TW 275 VERADO 4-STROKE and the TW 300 XS OPTIMAX. There are also two Evinrude offerings the TW 225 E-TEC and the TW 250 E-ETEC available.
The covered cockpit on the 30 Scarab Tournament is perfect for fishing. It has quite a few features just for fishermen including a rigging station with a sink at the transom. The sink features a raw water wash down.
The transom station features a baitwell and tackle storage so your fishing gear is always handy. There are also lots of built in rod holders and two 122 quart fish boxes. The 30 Scarab Tournament is definitely the boat for serious saltwater fishermen.
