Armorcote fade fighting gel coat has kept this 298 looking good and will continue to shine for many years to come.
The hull has the Four Winns Stable Vee design. This gives the 298 a smooth. efficient, well handling ride , a lot like the feel of riding in a car. Throw in the wind in your hair and the view and it beats I-95 hands down.
These are just a couple of reasons that the 298 has run in the top of it's class for years.
Mechanical:
Twin 250hp, Volvo Penta 5.0 GI (2001)
rawwater cooled, the 5.0 gives nearly the performance of the 5.7 and does it while sipping the fuel. The Volvo drives feature the duo-prop which increases cruising speed and miles per gallon.

The accommodations aboard this 298 are a thing of beauty, and comfort. Rounded corners and warm Biscayne Blue colors will relax you from the minute you step aboard.
As you walk in the companionway the first thing that will catch your eye is the nice roomy layout of the cabin, luxurious cherry wood finish all over, and the designer decor.
The starbord side galley has all the tools you need to prepare a few hors d'ourves to a gourmet meal.
The dinette with U-shaped seating is enhanced by the beautiful high gloss cherry wood tabletop.
The galley features a 2 burner Kenyon electric stove, Sink with pull out nozzle, Nova Cool Fridge, Freezer, Goldstar microwave oven, plenty of stowage and work space. All is accented in the cherry wood found throughout the 298.
Four drawers and plenty of stowage above and below make for a tidy ship.
A 13" GE brand TV/VCR combo with remote is located in cabinet above with retractable cherry door. Still has factory plastic on it, never used. A Sony stereo with speakers above and below has a 10 disc CD changer.
The interior is well equipped with carpet, curtains, reverse cycle heating and AC. Non-Smokers have loved this boat and cared for her very well.
The head is very roomy for a 29 footer and has plenty of shower space and stowage. The vacu-flush head is a real plus.
The mid cabin has a queen sized bed. Cushions are overstuffed, very comfortable. There is a dedicated AC vent for added comfort.
Forward of the galley and dinette you will find a king sized bed. Mattress is half round for optimizing space. Very thick and comfortable. Has custom designer bedspread with matching pillows. A privacy curtain is built in..
Here you will also find AC vents for comfort. No irritating fans to keep you cool. Two upper storage compartments with retractable cherry doors provide quite a good bit of stowage.
Nav Equipment:
This 298 is well equipped for all but the most demanding navigation.
Compass, Speed, water depth, VHF, Raytheon GPS with chart plotter, are all well laid out on the beaitiful helm. Instrument Covers keep things clean and dry.
Equipped with a full compliment of engine guages, including volt meters, fuel level, oil pressure, engine temperature, trim, tachometers, and engine sync gages all accented with chrome rings.

In between is the fully equipped wet bar with sink and ice maker. Plenty of stowage is found all around the cockpit.
